The Coziest hostels in Tbilisi As Tbilisi is no longer Europe’s best-kept-secret destination and more and more tourists are visiting, it’s only logical that new hostels are emerging in Tbilisi’s one of the oldest part. Most of those hostels were Finalists and Nominees in the Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Awards 2016 and 2017!

DVIZH HOSTEL ELI SPALI Photo Source: Dvizh Hostel Eli Spali Located in several steps from the main road of the city – Rustaveli avenue, this cozy hostel offers 6 spacious rooms for 16 guests. You can enjoy some free benefits – Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, game console, parking, and a great choice of books in their library. There are 2 shared bathrooms, but towels and linen are provided. Kitchen is fully equipped and the laundry room is at your service as well. You could order a descent breakfast according to your preferences and even buy some wines and cheeses straight in the hostel. Our favorite spot in the hostel is one of the 2 fireplaces, located in the living room. Here, an evening in the chilly winter could turn into a fun gathering over glass of wine. The hostel holds a Best Low Budget Accommodation Award 2016 by Welcome to Georgia! National Tourism Awards.

ENVOY HOSTEL Photo Source: Envoy Hostel FB page Envoy hostel is network of hostels located in Georgia, Armenia, and Cambodia. Location of the Tbilisi hostel is great and most importantly it offers a stunning view from the rooftop veranda. Best thing about this place, is that the company offers various tours around Georgia and Armenia including day trips in the city center in beautiful Georgian mountains.

DIWAN HOSTEL Photo Source: Diwan Hostel FB page Diwan offers is truly one of the best locations in the city. It is in the city center and at the same time has some breathtaking views. You could sip your coffee in the spacious kitchen and enjoy the amazing view. Staff is incredibly helpful and offer bunch of free services. Including transfers and bookings. Hostel provides some board games, books, TV set, free Wi-Fi, and many more. Tiny details like a sewing kit, umbrellas, and sim cards are also offered.It’s a cozy place that will definitely make you feel at home.

In only 200m (650ft) you are at the main square of the city – Freedom Square. Dorm beds are exceptionally comfortable here. Curtains and individual lights will guarantee privacy and comfort. Living room has a lovely fireplace for fun evening gatherings. Hosts will make sure that every day spent with them is amusing and enjoyable.

HOSTEL PINN Photo Source: Hostel Pinn FB page Among those new hostels, Pinn is definitely one to visit, if you are searching for cheap (not in a sense of value but in a sense of price) and peaceful experience. Seemingly obscure door on street that is named after famous Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov promises you glimpse into interior that is designed in somewhat restrained and minimalistic way, but with delicate taste and visitor’s comfort in mind. Combination of minimalistic bras, colors and wooden furniture are guaranteed to catch your attention and make you feel home. Two brothers who own Pinn and reception girls who all are named Tamar are very hospitable and ready to help. Pinn Hostel offers three well-furnished, clean and cozy private rooms with king-size beds for 30-40$  for a night and a dormitory with two bathrooms and two storey beds that is intended for 6 people max. for only 10$ per person, which is ridiculously low price for the quality this small hostel offers. Needless to say, free Wi-Fi is accessible in every room. Kitchen of Pinn is perfectly suited for hostel/visitor’s needs, equipped with every necessary utility. Here you can enjoy your free, evening coffee or tea and make new acquaintances, granted, you are not out, busy making them in one of Tbilisi’s famous bars and cafes wineries and restaurants that are all at your fingertips here, on Dadiani, Qiqodze, Machabeli, Tabidze streets that are all in parallel, perpendicular or some other closely geometrical relation to Lermontov street. And though this is not included in room fee, when you come out from the hostel to go about your business if you are lucky enough you might encounter man asking you for cigarettes in exchange for piece of very specific Georgian dish – Tklapi.

If you have same criteria, Nest Hostel is the place you are looking for, because it packs everything we mentioned above and you will want to come back. Nest Hostel is located on Orbeliani Str., which is very center of Tbilisi. From this street, it is 5 minutes walk to Freedom square, which means you have access to all the best nearby bars and cafes by walking – no need to take cab or bus. Location alone makes this place extremely comfortable. Speaking of comfort, Nest Hostel has very clean private rooms as well as dorm rooms with unbelievably acceptable prices. Private rooms cost 30-40$ and dorm room costs 10-15$. You also have possibility to do laundry for additional 2$. One can confidently say that you get much more than you pay for.

ART HOSTEL Photo Source: Art Hostel This small hostel run by a local family could be the most artistic hostel in Tbilisi. Whole interior is entirely designed by it’s owner – a theater artists (hence the name Art Hostel). The hostel stands secluded in a central part of old city. Everything one wishes to see is just couple of minutes away: Shardeni Str.,Narikala, abanotubani, souvenir shop, wine places etc. Our favorite room is a private one, which costs 25$, but it’s quite big with a private bathroom and kitchen, so after a long day in Tbilisi you can get a bottle of wine at vinoteca (3 minutes walk from Art Hostel ) and enjoy a beautiful evening. Oh, and cats love to pass by which is also very authentic thing for old Tbilisi.

FOX HOSTEL Fox hostel Photo Source: Fox Hostel  Fox hostel is a bright cozy place with special artistic atmosphere located on Gabashvili Street, 50 metres away from the very central and spectacular Rustaveli avenue and within 15 minutes walk from the Old Town. The hostel is not only full of pieces of modern art but itself is a masterpiece. Though you don’t feel like living in a museum, but rather being a part of some community creative and welcoming at the same time.  Totally cozy and clean, it’s a perfect choice for those who need a combination of comfortable accommodation, central location, and a reasonable price. Depending on the type of room the rates can be from 9$- 35$. Dorms, triple or private rooms are available. Super friendly staff will make you feel like at home and not only provide you with local advice and support, but also will be a great company for long evening talks in the living room, creating an atmosphere you are ready to give away your ticket back home for.

Despite the central location, it is calm and peaceful. It is a beautiful place with a great location and a welcoming, helpful hostess. We appreciated the colorful interior and cleanliness of the spacious rooms.
